Tetra Pak talks about GembaOne
"We had a big project in Germany. Already during the pre-installation phase, I told the customer that we obviously could not foresee everything - but that we would be able to record all project issues during the installation - thanks to GembaOne.
When we - in spite of extra work – completed the job on the agreed date, we also presented an extra charge of 50,000 euros. And because we had been able to record everything in GembaOne - it was approved by the customer without any discussions. They just paid, "says project manager Michael Taisbak, explaining that if Tetra Pak had not been able to document every single extra cost through GembaOne it had undoubtedly led to an increased quarreling about the extra money.
All in all we had completed a complex project with many difficulties to customer satisfaction as per agreement in terms of time and performance, and Tetra Pak completed the project with a higher margin than budgeted ¨
Service engineers avoid all the paperwork
Despite the high degree of proof it takes much less paperwork for staff. The vast majority of reporting is done using a mobile phone with camera. "Our service engineer think it is a huge help to have GembaOne. Under the project in Germany the service engineer did not write a single report - everything was done via mobile phone, "says Mikael Taisbak.
And Thomas Mohr, who was sit supervisor at the project in Germany, confirms. "Before, I made reporting in a Word document and besides the time a spend writing it, I had to email it to the relevant persons, and the secretary had to archive it. Small changes were forgotten or lost in all the report writing, "says Thomas Mohr and continues:
"It's 100 times easier to use GembaOne: I just spend five minutes at the site to take a few pictures and upload it to GembaOne - it just requires an internet connection. Now the person responsible can see what kind of problem we face, and he can address it. It helps everyone in the process - and my boss is also instantly updated. " says Thomas Mohr.
